Novasure Ablation

According to the Novasure website, 1 in 5 women suffer from abnormal uterine bleeding (AUB). AUB can cause dramatic effects to a woman’s wellbeing and quality of life, including:

  • Diminished sex life
  • Physical exhaustion at peak of cycle
  • Higher rates of anxiety and depression
  • Lack of confidence
  • Anemia
  • Fatigue

With Novasure, you can find relief from your heavy periods.

What is Novasure?

Novasure is an endometrial ablation procedure that removes the endometrium, or the uterine lining, which is the cause for your heavy bleeding. This one-time procedure lasts only five minutes and requires no incisions.

Is It Right for Me?

It’s crucial to talk with your doctor before electing to receive Novasure because you will not be able to have children after you have the procedure. That is why we recommend permanent sterilization prior to having an ablation performed.

Novasure is not recommended for women who believe they have uterine cancer, have an active urinary, pelvic or genital infection, or plan to get pregnant.

Benefits and Risks of Novasure

For women with heavy periods that cause them to miss work, skip out on social activities, lack sexual connection with their partners, and are physically exhausted during the peak of their cycle, Novasure can give you the freedom you need to get back to enjoying your life.

Your doctor can discuss the risks of this procedure with you. Generally, the risks of this procedure include:

  • Thermal injury
